Job Title: Tour Coordinator - In Nursing Service
Location: Shiprock , NM 87420
Start Date: May 2025
Duration: 6 Months + Possible extension
Shift Schedule: This hours for this position are a rotating shift of days, evenings, nights and weekends including Holidays. (12-hour Tour of Duty, 8-hour Tour of Duty, 10-hourTour of Duty. Includes weekends and holidays)

Qualification:
Education: Highest degree attained in Nursing
Certifications: Any state RN license is acceptable
Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Experience: The Tour Coordinator contractor shall have thirty-six (36) months of nursing
experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in the Tour Coordinator environment.
Experience must include performance improvement projects and measures, applying
evidence-based practice, and data collection and analysis.

Patient Care Coordination Duties:
Collaborates with departments to coordinate patient care activities and supportactivities to ensure a smooth hospital operation during the assigned shift.
Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers (intra-and, interfacility) of patients and documents disposition in shift reports. Shift reports are then sent to Nursing Administration and Executive Leadership.
Utilizes the Electronic Health Record and Patient Classification System to document patient disposition or to determine patient needs.
Coordinates callback for support departments, i.e. Facilities, Bio-Med, Laboratory, Radiology, Operating Room staff, Motor Vehicle Operators, and Medical Staff.
Makes nursing rounds on the units during the shift to evaluate patient care needs, staffing, environmental, and safety aspects and calls in required
resources if needed.
Assists with patient care in emergency situations utilizing the nursing processand observes patients for conditions that may require emergency measures and exercises sound judgment in interpreting observations to the physician
The Contractor shall manage all patient information in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards, Privacy Act, and/or Health Center specific
policies and protocols.
