Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P-7A; 7P-7A; 7P-7A; 7P-7A; 7P-7A Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours weekly Experience: 2 years of critical care experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience in a float pool or Critical Care Unit, management of ventilator, titrating drips Job Description: - Provide comprehensive healthcare services within the Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiology. - Begin assignments in the Emergency Department and transition with patients to ICU or Intermediate Cardiology as needed. - Float between assigned units, including ED, ICU, PCU, and Cardiology. - Manage and utilize a variety of medical equipment, including ventilators and IV pumps. - Administer titrating drips and manage continuous cardio-respiratory monitoring. - Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. - Adapt to varying patient ratios depending on the unit, ranging from 1:1 to 1:4. - Participate in a dynamic environment handling general ICU cases, trauma, and medical/surgical conditions. - Utilize Cerner EHR for accurate documentation and reporting. - Engage with an adult patient population in a professional and compassionate manner.
